How do Pipeliner CRM email Feeds work?

How do Pipeliner CRM Feeds work

In this topic we will discuss issues regarding feeds and email-feeds. Please make sure that your IMAP or GMAIL integration is enabled

  1. Access rights to feeds
  2. Display Options
  3. Feeds in Accounts/Contacts/Leads and Opportunities
  1. Access rights to email feeds

In order to have permission to insert information in the Feeds section by an email, you must be the Owner or be directly named as an Editor of the entity. It will not grant you this permission if you are a member of Sales Unit which is named as an Editor.

Write access in the user rights configuration is as well not enough to insert email(s) to Feeds.

  1. Display Options

To access ‘‘Display options‘‘, open the feeds section and click on the Cogwheel button in the upper right corner

Once the ‘‘Options‘‘ are expanded, you can select what information you would like to have displayed.

The functions of Options are as follows:

Period (from/to)  - Displays entries from a certain time/period (previous month, this month, today,...)

Messages

Show messages – Shows internal Pipeliner messages between Pipeliner users.

Show e-mails – shows e-mail communication between Owner/Editor and Account/Contact. NOTE – You will not be able to see other editors/your colleagues emails. The function of email feeds is not configured for internal communication.

Show activities – Shows statuses of the activities linked to the entry

Show lead/opportunity statuses – shows changes of the Leads/Opportunities assigned to the Contact/Account

Show document statuses – shows changes of the documents assigned to the entry

Owner

Shows all feeds only from the selected user. If this field is empty, it will show feeds from all users

if the Show only my messages is checked only feeds from your account will be shown.

Related Messages

Show Oppty/Lead messages – Shows internal messages from Leads and Opportunities linked to the Contact/Account

Show Account/Contact messages – Shows internal messages of the linked Account/Contacts

  1. Feeds in Accounts/Contacts/Leads and Opportunities

  • Feeds in Accounts

Only e-mails that are a 100% match to the e-mail  addresses listed in the Account details will be displayed

For example: if you have in the account details listed e-mails company@company.com and info@company.com and you will send an e-mail to sales@company.com, this e-mail WILL NOT be displayed in the feeds section

  • Feeds in Contacts

Only e-mails that are a 100% match to the e-mail  addresses listed in the Account details will be displayed

For example: If there is an e-mail address in the Contact details john.doe@company.com and you will send an e-mail to jdoe@company.com, this e-mail will not be displayed

  • Feeds in Opportunities and Leads

Only e-mails sent to assigned existing Accounts and Contacts will be displayed

3.4 Email Feeds are not meant to be used for inter-departmental communication. Imagine Joe and Martin work for the same company and they try to follow up on a contact called Peter. Joe will see Martins emails to Peter in Feeds and vice versa but emails from Joe to Martin wont be shown.
